Opinion on Brakes
Hi All,
I am considering upgrading my brakes because I am thinking about getting some bigger wheels, and as it is right now, I feel like the brakes are just a little "soft". I have a 2013 AWD F-Sport, therefore I did not get the 4 piston calipers Also, I am coming from a 2008 Audi A4 which is significantly lighter than the GS, and well felt like it had better braking ability. Any how I wanted to get your guys opinion on a few things:
Thank you!

Any how I wanted to get your guys opinion on a few things:
- Could my issue just be brake pads? I bought the car used with about 18k miles on it, so I am guessing it still has the same pads that it came with. Will a good set of ceramic pads help?
- Sewell has F-Sport calipers for the RWD listed for around $600-700, is the upgrade to these calipers worth it? Has anyone done this? Is it even doable?
- I was looking at StopTech BBK's but didn't see one specifically for the GS, are there any out there? I know these will definitely make a difference, but at almost $4k they are a bit pricey, are there any other BBK solutions out there on the market, besides Brembo and StopTech, that are a good bang for the buck?
Thank you!

From what I understand the fsport 4pot caliper is made by stop tech...these do the job great for a daily driver, I'll just be doing stainless lines and call them good to go...if your tracking it often then go for the bbk..

Nice thanks man! Maybe I should work with a fabricator and get mounting plates for throwing the stock 2 piston calipers on the rears, and upgrading to the 4 piston up front - call it a BBK

Lexus website is actually wrong, all GS350’s come with 4 piston front calipers and single piston rear calipers. The design is a carryover from the previous generation.
RWD F-Sport caliper design in slightly different as the calipers are now extended to accommodate a larger rotor.
I see why these is so much misinformation as Lexus marketing didn't get the memo and have this wrong on their website.
You should try a more aggressive replacement pad, and brake fluid changed to eliminate moisture in the lines.

to make a correction here the calipers are not made by Stoptech, the complete brakes are made by Advics, and they are the OEM manufacture for Toyota and Lexus.
