A guy on here took off the lines off his lenses but it took alot of sanding and some polishing. You should use a oven...heat gun will be slow as ****. Im sure your time is money...or at least mines is...Its not only a short cut but its the proper way. Your gonna have it come apart evenly with the oven.

lowest setting possible, (may have to crack the door open a bit) and put it on a cookie sheet, but keep using new ones every 5 minutes or so, just so it doesn't get hot, you could also soak a block of wood and rest the headlight on top of that, keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesn't catch fire or burn.
there is no set time, depends on the oven and depends if you have to close the door all the way or not, lot of variances that can effect the time

when I did my headlights, I was using my moms brand new oven, at 300. I would keep opening the oven every couple minutes to check on it. I probably pulled it in and out of the over 5-6 times before it was soft enough to come apart.
Like Deknick said, too many variable from person to person. Use common sense and you're good...not too hot but warm enough to soften the glue, and keep checking on it over and over.
