Saw this in the recent Motor trend. Looks interesting.

Has anyone seen this in action or even installed it on their GS?

I worry about any warranty change, who would install, the noise of the device, etc.

What do you guys think?

For a high end pure luxury sedan (aka the LS), this should be standard or at least an option.

Here is what the LS currently has:

Although it's not 100% identical to what you posted, it does get the job done of slow door close/less noise.

I believe BMW and Mercedes also have something similar.

Since the GS is not a pure luxury sedan (it's a combination of luxury & sportiness), I'm not surprised it's not offered with our cars.

It looks cool though - I would be to curious to see how hard you can really "slam" the door before it activates and takes over.

I always ask people "what my door do to you" when they slam it. Never understood why people slam doors.

They guy is ok but the LS weak power trunk is not! That is a problem on its own.

My power closing doors are pretty cool

I've never experienced that trunk issue, nor has anybody on the LS forum that I've seen. Must be a fluke.

It's a neat feature, burnt wouldn't spend money for it.
