To confirm this technology I put the car in Park mode and rev the engine, while the engine is revving I step on the brake pedal lightly. You will immediatly see the revs drop to idle speed regardless if I floored the gas pedal. This is, really only a safety feature and really annoys me when I want to brake torque and get that tire to smoke.
Correct, I had on steel toe work boots and accidentally hit both the gas and brake pedals and the car wouldn't budge and some warning light flashed. It was unnerving until I realized what was going on. Think this is due to an ES accident a few years back when the gas pedal got stuck pressed down on account of an all weather floor mat being installed on top of a carpet floor mat.
