How do I keep Bluetooth on after parking?
So I arrive at my destination, park and shut-off the vehicle....the only problem is that I'm bluetooth with my phone and want to finish up my conversation before leaving the car. As it stands, when I press the start button to shut-off the vehicle, the bluetooth turns off and moves the call to my phone.
With all my other cars, I was able to park the car, shut off the engine and finish the conversation on the bluetooth speakers and not be forced to switch. Has to be a setting somewhere. Anyone know how to change this?
Thanks!

When you park, shift into "N" and engage parking brakes. Press the "Push to Start" button to switch off the engine, while keeping power to the everything else. After Engine is off, you can then shift into "P". Once the conversation is done, you can double-tap the "Push to Start" button to turn off the car's electronics.

liquidz properly describes the safe way to do it, you can also just punch the power button when stopped in any gear range and once the motor shuts down just slip it into Park.

I discovered this trick accidentally since I have a very steep driveway. So my routine is to shift into "N" and then engage parking brakes, release foot brake, and then shift into "P". This method allows the car's weight to rest on the rear parking brakes instead of the car's weight to rest on the parking pin. Also, this minimize the amount of car roll-back onto the parking pin too. One time I forgot to shift into "P" while still in "N" and voila! car engine is off but I have power to everything!

To the op: park and leave the car running. You won't kill a tree.
For the hill parkers, go ahead and throw it in park. The GS automatically engages the parking brake anyway, you won't be stressing the parking pin on the transmission. Lexus outsmarted some people with this feature.
