2013 GS350 Sunroof Seals
Have had the puppy about a month. Getting about 31+ on the Hwy. Anyhoo for the real story, we got home today and noticed that there was a seal around the the sunroof, well on the driver side that was loose. Sort of a flex/accordion type. The other side didn't have one. I'll ***-u-Me that it was that way when we bought the car. Here are some pics. Not sure, but it looks like it folds over to the outside under the slide track, but not sure. The other side is gone. Any opinions??

Yeah that's not right. I believe that accordion piece is supposed to be attached to the sunroof and slide with the sunroof.
If you open the visor and put the sunroof into tilt mode, you'll likely see the connected side stretch upwards and the disconnected side flopping around.

Ya I saw what you were talking about and slid it back in the correct position. I'll see how it goes for now. If it screws up again, I'll have the dealer look at it. Found out there was a recall on the passenger seat rails? Get that at a later date. Thanks for the info.

Sorry for digging this up. Have you ever figured out the issue for this? I'm noticing the seals being loose on my car and am thinking of bringing it in.

You should all definitely bring it in. There is a TSB for it -- happened to me, dealer fixed it instantly with no questions asked...they knew what I was talking about before I even finished explaining the situation.

I know they for sure had to pull it back some as the tech left a lot of greasy handprints around the sunroof opening on the headliner, to which the dealership is going to fix with a full detail for free of the car.
To be honest I'm not convinced the seal fixed it, if you look into what all was done they replaced all the fasteners when doing this and that may be what did it.

They didn't mess it up other than getting it dirty which they are taking on the responsibility to fix. Once that rattle was fixed the car became the amazing vehicle to me I knew it was already.
The fact that Lexus did it for free when my car is already out of warranty was a massive plus.
