Default Sunroof not closing flush

Has anyone seen this before? On the back driver's lip of the sunroof, it does not appear to be raising all the way up to become flush with the roof (as seen in the top picture). The bottom picture is the front of the sunroof for comparison.

May need an adjustment. My sunroof does not seal properly, somehow, and creates a lot of wind noise at highway speeds. Very annoying but its not something I have gotten around to just yet, a simple fix for me is to slide the shade shut.

How would I go about adjusting the driver-rear side? The passenger-rear side seals properly.

I would spray all the rails with lithium spray lubricant, cycle the sunroof back and fourth. Also with you inside the car help gently push it up when you close it, it may just have a sticking point that needs to get freed up. Or maybe someone stomped on your sunroof, because a sunroof you shouldnt need to adjust it.

I will give the lithium spray a shot but it's worth noting that I can put upwards pressure from inside and it seats correctly but as soon as I let go, it sets back down. Not sure the grease would assist with that.

I think you need a T15 bit. I try to adjust mine a few months ago but ended up striping the head. I guess the previous owner had the same issue, dealership adjusted and torque the screw way too much. I think I found the instruction in the IS forum. I'll have to dig it up.

Ha. I actually posted this a couple years ago.
