07-08 GS350 or 08 GS460...potential purchase
Hello all.....
New guy here currently in the market for a GS. Ive been searching for a while and what Ive found here is around 22-24k for 2007 GS350, hoping for the low end of that. Ive also found a couple of 2008 GS460's asking in the neighborhood of around 29k, hoping to get for around 27-28k. Both models ive found in the GS350 and GS460 are pretty much loaded with the options...nav, backup cam, etc. Miles range from 45-60k.
So, in your opinions of price and everything else, is the approx $5k jump from the 350 to the 460 justified?? I really wouldnt mind the v8, but its not a necessity....solely a luxury. but a nice one!
In terms of resell, do you see a higher demand for the 460 over the 350? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Weve been looking for around 6 mos or so, but I think its finally time to put out the cash.
Thanks in advance......G

Have you noticed if there is any more demand for either model?....in case we decide to resell in a few years.

you have a point....dont know what the market will be like for the 460 but ya, for sure less than the 350. Im mainly wondering if you think the extra $5-6k is worth paying now to get a 460 over the 350. With the 460 being a year newer and 10k less mileage....approx 45k total.
But then again, if theyve been manufacturing the 460's for the last 4 years, there has to be some kind of market for it.

I say drive each one. I am sure if you drive a 460 you will buy it. Im a v8 person and my 430 is a gem. I love it. You feel and hear it a bit and that v8 sounds good. 460 comes with 8 speed box too. Not sure about 350. Also, here in NYC, mostly every GS is a 350. Ive never seen a 460, and only once I found a 430 parked on the street
My motto is, you live once, treat yourself to the best things you can afford, otherwise whats the point of living.

Im going to try and test out a 350 this weekend. then the 460 afterwards. I like the fact that there arent many 460s out there, but it will primarily be for my wife and not sure if she really cares about that. Speaking of that, Ive never seen a 460 out here either, but honestly havent kept much of an eye out for one, since it was never really an option till now. Her priority lies more with what color it is.....and I know she will be happy with either, coming from an old 98 camry....haha.
The 350 has a 6 speed gearbox, and the 460 has an 8 speed.
Love your motto, btw.
