VDIM off vs. TRAC/VSC off
Hey all,
First of all, I have searched like crazy and could not find the answers I am looking for so I apologize if this is a repost and please refer me to the link if it is.
I have an '08 GS460 and knew about the pedal dance to turn off VDIM and have some fun. I just read in my manual that pressing and holding the TRAC button will turn off the TRAC and VSC until the car is restarted. My question is what is the difference between the two methods? does the pedal dance turn off more safety controls or what? I just want to figure it out cause if I can have the same amount of fun with the TRAC button method, that is much easier.
Thanks in advance

I know the pedal dance still works and these are the differences I have noticed.
When just holding the TRAC button, the traction ctrl light and VSC lights come on the cluster.
When doing the pedal dance, those lights as well as the ((!)) light comes on the cluster as well as the Driver Info screen displays "Check VSC".

I dont see what gains are achieved more than the ones you get when holding down the button. As a matter of fact, it endangers your life when you turn it off, so dont.

I just tried this and mine stays on even over 30 MPH. I don't think your holding the button down long enough.
