Rim Offset Question (New Member)
Hello everyone
We just purchased a 08 GS450H and want to get started on some rims. I'm interested in 20" rims and believe the stock rims are 18x8.5 front and back. I would like to get at least a 3" lip in the rear and 2" in the front. What rim sizes
and offsets can I run? Any recommendation on vendors and rims are appreciated as well.

im not quite sure what offset is the best but my cousin has like a 33 / 52 but ive heard low 30 for the front and high 30 to low 40 for the rear will help with no rubbing problems just make sure you dont get a 25 offset for the front. from what ive seen asanti gives front wheel with that offset. alot of rubbing and mods

offsets are meaningless without widths.
also, the lip size also (and a big factor) due to do with the spoke design. if the design curves in, you get more lip size. if they don't, you get less lip size.
so it's not a clear cut how to get a set of wheels with 2/3 lip size and just tell you the widths/offsets. it depends on the design, available spec (whether preset offsets or fully custom), etc...
and of course it depends on what kind of wheels you want. american, jdm, etc... we have several CL vendors here, D2, prestigious, bulletproof, etc...

Anyways, I have +33 offsets in the front, which is what I consider perfect with the exception of have to remove/cut the rubber lining. My rears are +52 and they sit more inset then I would like but I am fine with it. I know for sure it won't rub with a car full of people and stuff in the trunk. +40-45 offsets would be more ideal IMO.
Front: +33-38 20x8.5
Rear: +40-45 20x10
If there is any mods that need to be done, its minor. I have 2" fronts and 3" rear lips too.

With the offset Front +33 (19x8.5) Rear +40 (19x10)
Will that still work? Also will you have rubbing issues if you don't lower the car?
Can you post some pics?
Thanks Everyone

Were looking at the Volk SF Challange Gold. I wanted 20" but they only come in 18" or 19" so were going with 19".

Thats what turned me away from most of these Japanese wheel makers, 19s are basically max.
Indeed.
