park senors ?
Does anybody know why the front senors are round, and the rear senors are rectangler? It just seem odd why they did that, but i really would've like them all to be rectangler

It's actually the front sensors that are rectangular and the rears are round.
A salesman pointed out to me that the sensors are rectangular b/c they are the newest technology that only lexus has. They are INTUITIVE park assist. Not only do they dectect an obstacle (like most manufacturer's park assist), but it also let's you know at your steering angle, if you will make it into or corner or not (only the new lexus does this).
If you head for a pole or some obstacle, it will start to beep, but if you turn your steering wheel enough so that your car can make it thru, it will stop beeping.
I didn't realize the rear sensors are round until your post, so i assumed the rear isn't "intuitive". Sure enough when i tested it backing out, sensors start beeping as long as there is an obstacle nearby, even though you can pass through. I don't know why they don' have this for the rear, i think it would be just as usefull. I actually wouldn't mind having them on the side doors either. In LA, everything is tandem parking in garages with poles. I'm afraid i'm gonna swipe one of this poles one day when i'm getting out in a hurry for work or something
Anyways i can't confirm that GS is the only with this technology since i never had park assist b4, but maybe others can. I assume the new IS will have this also.
