Locked only key in trunk, doors unlocked, help??
I locked my only key (master) in the trunk tonight. My doors are unlocked. The trunk latch underneath the dash stopped working a while back. AAA came out, they have to send a special key guy out tomorrow but they did not seem very confident that they will be able to cut a key.
Is there any other way to get in there? Any emergency latches? I'll even rig something up to get to my key. I'm dreading them saying I have to get towed to the dealer to deal with this, that sounds expensive. Any feedback would be awesome

Bring your registration and ID to a Lexus dealer and they can cut a key for you. I lock my key in the trunk and my car was locked once. The dealer that I went to cut the key for free.

Okay. Correct me if I am wrong. Does the rear armrest not give you a small opening into the trunk? can you fish out the keys? Or pull on the emergency trunk release inside the trunk?

Keep looking for a the electronics part of the key on resale market and when the price is right buy it. Then swap in the electronics and register the key with your vehicle.
In the end you will have a spare master key.

Funny, this happened to me yesterday. Keys in the trunk, had Geico get a Towing company to jimmy the door. The only time I like the fact my actuator not working(it will quickly lock back once the alarm goes off repeatedly). The alarm went off then tried to hit the switch for the trunk, of course that didn't work. Luckily I had the credit card key, at home though. Had my brother come to me and I was able to unlock the trunk. I could of popped the wire for the trunk release and do it that way or remove by backseat. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend to go thru the backseat if u got a audio system in the trunk (me) or pop the switch to bypass the security. Get a cut key and get another master key(which I'm doing this weekend).
