theres 2 post connectors you need to connect back on the positive terminal. make sure both of them is connected back to the post. i did the same accidently last time when replacing my battery. it somehow fell towards the back firewall area and i didnt even see the extra connector. see if you got that one connected.

Mike, I tried looking for the other connector but didn't see any.Do you know where that other connector leads to? i forgot to mention that the car wouldn't turn over even after jumping the car before i replaced the battery. Any other advice maybe?

Testing the starter is easy, pull the little clip/small wire off and jump a piece of wire or needle nose pliers from the little pin on the starter that the clip was on to the bolt on the starter that has the battery cable going to it, that jumps the starter since the battery cable is hot all the time to the starter, and will bypass all the ignition and relays out of the equation. Starters rarely go bad, it's usually the contact inside the housing that the solenoid pulls to connect. (which is replaceable for like 10 bucks)

My sister just informed me that the car was trying to start on its own that day. So it must definitely be the starter and perhaps a faulty starter relay. Thanks for the help I will keep you posted.

Here ya go, I happen to have some starters on the bench out there so I snapped a pic for you, the middle one is a GE starter should look just like yours.
The bolt will have your hot battery cable going to it. And the black plug just gets a little 12 volts from your ignition to make the solenoid push out and in turn make an internal connection of the battery feed through to the starter. So by touching a wire from the bolt to the pin you are bypassing the ignition system and making it engage instantly. It's safe to do, just make sure the car is in park, since your also bypassing park/neutral safety switches..

If it doesn't work, then verify you have 12 volts to the starter bolt with a multimeter, touch the red lead to the starter bolt and the black lead to any bare metal on the motor or starter housing.
If you have power there, but jumping the wires won't turn the starter let me know, I'll take a starter apart and show you how to fix it without buying a whole new starter.

That would be great man. Yes there are 12 volts going to the nut terminal. I have to try to check out the starter tomorrow because its pouring out here today. That would be great help to learn how to fix the starter myself. Thanks again your help is greatly appreciated. I will let you know how this goes tomorrow if you want to check. Thanks again.
One more thing, would you know why the starter would try to crank itself, bad relay maybe?
Once again ,thanks

Uh, trying to start on it own? well then your starter is working then if she heard it out there cranking?
Yeah then that's a whole other ballgame, you got some other problem for sure. A burnt relay is a possibly, in other cars I've had when I was trying to troubleshoot a relay you can just take one from another function in the box and swap spots to see if it works, if there is another relay with that same part number on it. My car is up on the lift right now with my truck under it, and it is pouring rain outside today so I can't get the car down to look at the relay box to see if any are the same.

Yea it probably was working but, it may have burned itself out(or the insides). I read about this relay problem that happened with another gs300. I swapped relays already but didn't check the original if it was still burned(at the time i just thought it was a relay problem and swapped it with a spare i had. )I went back out in the rain and checked for the 12V on the "remote" wire and the voltage was present only when key in start position. I couldn't jump the starter yet due to all the wet weather conditions. But i'm sure it is the starter. If you want to post the stuff up so i can fix the starter myself it would be helpful.
Thank you,
Ice
