Default Electric fan Thermostat Temp Sensor??????

I trying to install 2 14" electric fans ....... I bought a fan kit with temperature sensor to turn the fans off and on. but i cant find where to put this temp sensor instructions read:

Install the thermoswitch into the cylinder head or intake manifold fitting as available per your application.

I've searched all day but one a clear answer for our cars.... ive read on mustang forums about people drilling into exhaust manifold and installing it there. i figure there is a easier way.

i tried the ECT on the radiator it fits but car ran ruff and fans didn't turn on.

Temp Senor is on bottom left.

Why don't you just use the stock temp sensor on the bottom of the radiator? It's already setup to send a signal at 180 degrees.

you need one of these.

You have to cut your radiator hose in half and fit this in between then screw in your sensor. Dont put the sensor at the bottom of the radiator because you want to measure the temperature of the coolant thats going into the engine not the coolant thats coming out of the engine.

The wire harness off the stock temp sensor is 2 colors. Blue and black. Black is ground and Blue is the signal wire. Just tap off the blue to a relay to power the fans. That's what I'm using to power my IS300 fans.

How does this work? are your fans on all the time? at what temperature does your relay turn your fans on?
