I have to put my Windom in for it's 6 monthly Warrant of Fitness (safety check)...

From what I can gather in NZ vehicles made after about 1990 have to have a high mounted stop light / 3rd brake light.

I suspect this is one of the many things the previous owner has messed with / removed / lost / etc

I've got the light to install, but I'm not sure it's a great idea for me to do it... I'm guessing it would be a fairly easy job perhaps taking an auto electrician an hour max???

Would an hour be a fair guess on time it should take?? Just wondering how much it's likely to cost me to have it done..

Decided I don't really want to pay someone to do this... I really can't afford it.

Any chance someone out there could give me some simple instructions for doing it myself???

I've got the light, I know where I want to put it so I need everything in between....

Light has 2 wires running off it, so I'm guessing it's a positive and a ground wire.... I have to install it in the rear window on or above the rear parcel shelf....

So I need to know where exactly to wire it to..... Can't find any ES300/Windom/Camry specific instructions as most seem to have the 3rd brake light from the factory, curse the previous owner!

Sorted it........... Found the old spoiler light wiring and hooked it up to that using a plug I'd grabbed at pick-a-part
