Could an oil flush possibly solve an oil sludge problem? 2000 ES300

I think my best bet is to take it to a mechanic. It is hard to find a good one, but we did about 3 years ago. I trust him. And yes this is one of the recall cars. We got the notice in 2008 or so but had no problems then. You had to have had the problem and filed by the end of 2008.

And I agree on the MMO, I would use that over Seafoam. Change the oil, substitute one quart with a quart of MMO, run it a few heat cycles (long drives), then drain and repeat.

ok an update. cylinders 1 3 5 are misfiring. once the car warms the oil pressure drops and the light comes on. mechanic says it will require major repairs. mojor mounts need replacement. steering fluid leak. and more.
