Hi All,

I am about to hit 65000 mi on my 2002 ES, I was planning on doing a transmission fluid and filter change - do these cars have a replaceable filter, or only a non-replaceable screen?

Yours should have the paper filter as opposed to the wire filter.

I don;t bother with this element. I simply drain and fill the ATF with each oil change.

probably not a bad idea brucelee1; if you drain tranny oil with each motor oil change, then after a few changes, you've probably got mostly new/fresh tranny oil.
