Default Does my used car have remote start?

Hi all,
I recently picked up a 2010 ES350 but I have been browsing the forums for a while for the great info, even before buying. Love the car; rides smooth, straight and what a great highway ride.
I'm looking at what it would take to install a remote start and found a great deal of information here. Then, I signed up on MyLexus and started reading the service history when I came across this:

Dealer Reported 03/16/2010 Lexus 567 0403798 ACCESSORY INSTALL PYTHON REMOTE START.
Dealer Reported 02/27/2010 Lexus 12 0402468 PREDELIVERY SERVICE FOR USA ALL ALTITUDES

The "Install Python Remote Start" jumps out at me.

Does this car have remote start and I just need to activate/reactivate it? Or is this something all ES350 have because of Enform?

I've tried pressing unlock button twice followed by holding the unlock for three seconds on the third time but nothing happens.

I was planning on asking next time I go in for service but that may be awhile as I don't drive it much.
Thanks!

Has nothing to do with Enform.

You may or may not have the remote start. Looks like they installed one in 3/10 but the previous owner may have removed it when they got rid of the car. Mine operates by pressing the "lock" button three times and holding it down on the third press.

I don't do that with mine because of the labor cost to pull it out it just makes it cheaper in the long run to buy a new one.

In your case it may be as easy as just purchasing new remotes. I would take it to an audio store and have it checked out. They can tell you very quickly if you have one or not at a minimal charge probably.

Thanks for the reply lgb0250, appreciate it!

I did try the 3 unlocks with the keyfob, didn't do anything. I'll see about making it over to an audio shop for their thoughts.

Got excited there for a second.....

Not "unlocks". Try the lock button instead Abe. At least that's how it works on mine. Then again, if the previous owner didn't have it hooked up to his factory fob it doesn't matter. An audio store should be able to look and tell you very easy.

Look for a Python web page, likely it had a separate small fob when installed.
lgb0250 is correct, perhaps a local shop can provide a new remote.

The labor was more than the parts so it is unlikely to have been removed.
Check under the dash below the steering column, many aftermarket systems
have enabling/disabling switches or buttons mounted here, won't start the car
but makes it safer for mechanics working under the hood!
