Default Adaptive Headlights not working after accident repair by dealer

So I got into an accident and the front ride side was damaged. the headlight assembly was replaced and I noticed that after I got the car back the adaptive headlights were not working. (It doesn't do the self test at startup, and when i turn the wheel, it doesn't move the lights).

I tried turning the AFS off/on and it didn't do anything. Also the AFS light did not come on on the dash when turning it off and on using the button under the driver knee area.

I also noticed that the head lamp that was replaced is not pointing straight either... dealer is closed for the next couple of days, so i was just wondering if there was a simple solution that I can just do myself?

Really dissatisfied with the dealer right now... the first thing I noticed when I got the car back was that one of the plastic piece connected to the bumper was reused and it was completely bent out of shape and they did not replace it... says they will order the part and replace it. Now the headlight issue...

So there's no AFS light on the cluster?

The AFS off light doesn't come on when pushing the AFS off button under the driver knee area. I recall pushing this once a few years back to test it and IIRC the AFS OFF light comes on on the dash?

I also noticed the head lamp that was replaced, the projector is pointed to the right of the car. Maybe they didn't attach it properly so the AFS cannot move it?

just scanned with a basic obd reader and did not get any codes. Do I need a special tool to check for that code?

Is it a quick and easy check to see if it is just disconnected connector?

I think you need the techstream to get the codes.

I think they disabled the system.

At the repair shop now. Turns out it was a severed wire from the accident. They said they are going to "repair" the wire. Should I have any concerns that they are repairing rather than replacing the wire?

after wasting 5 hours at the lexus collision repair shop...(originally they said it was only going to be 30 minutes) they were unable to fix the problem and not even sure what is causing it... now they have to make an appointment with lexus dealer itself to take a look at the electrical...

There goes another day of work. Really unhappy with the situation and service right now.
