Default Pothole misaligned my headlights

Hit a big pothole on FDR Drive going south in NYC. I had the headlights on at the time. Only noticed the problem when I was driving back at night. I hit it with my passenger side, so the right headlight is pointing very high, while the left one seems to be normal. Do you think adjusting the vertical screw is a good idea or could something else have caused it?

I wanna fix it myself since I heard and read about how easy it is. But then I'm a bit worried that it's not just a normal adjustment that needs to be done, so the dealer is my best bet.

Luckily nothing else got damaged. Sometimes those 17's are life savers.

The dealer should fix that for free, I brought my car to the dealer complaining that my headlights were too low and they adjusted and measured it and told me it was factory spec.

Just tell them you dont think your headlight is factory spec so you cant see.

Had exactly the same problem... my issue is after they adjusted it to "spec" they still appear too low. Still battling with the dealer to try and resolve it.

My dealer sucks though.

my dealer downloaded info from the ECU which said there was an impact, and no warranty coverage. You should ask the dealer, and hope for the best.

Bunch of BS. There is no impact sensor that detects whether or not you hit a pothole or had a had jar to the car.

I fix mine at least once a month. Although, I have found that if I adjust them higher, they won't get misaligned as easily.
