Question on the right type of bulb

Got the new bulbs installed. I know that the HID does make a whining sound when ON, but does it stop after, i notice more and more and i know that is normal, but i don't recall hearing it with my old bulbs.
Does it take a breaking time for the bulbs to stop whining ?
