Default Higher RPM's with 20" rims.....

I'm turning 4000 rpm's @ 60 mph, I know for certain this isn't normal. Yes I know I've change the factory setup by changing the rim size, but can anyone offer some good advice on what I can do to fix this?

What size tires? The sidewall height sounds pretty short for the RPMs to increase with LARGER rims, which would normally REDUCE RPMs.

Tire size are 235/35 oddly enough I got it out of paint yesterday and it was turning those rpm as stated before and now I'm driving it this morning and it's seems to be a little lower at about 2750@ 60 mph, on my way to my mechanic for tune up oil change etc. There was a p0330 knock sensor code in there for bank 2 circuit 2.

That explains it.
Knock sensor code most likely prevented your car from going into overdrive. So only 3rd gear on the highway would cause the high rpms

So there is no need to worry about gear ratio? Or it really isn't that deep?

If you are getting over 4k rpms going 60 and you have the knock sensor code I would definitely say it's stuck in 3rd gear cause no over drive.

If you are getting 2750 rpms going 60 you have a different problem.

I use to have overdrive problems and specifically remember a little over 4k rpms on highway which is why I mentioned it.

And yes providing model and year is definitely helpful.
