DIY fix for loose wheel covers
This one was so easy! Cheap fix for anyone else that has this annoying problem.
Okay, so go out to your nearest home depot and buy a roll of adhesive foam like this...
Pop out the center cover, and cut five, one inch pieces of foam out. Wedge them in the cover as seen there. Make sure at least half of the foam is wedged in.
Slap it back on, make sure its in, and you're done!
Hope this helps at least one person! This sound was bugging me like mad. Take a look at my new painted calipers!!!

Duplicolor kit used on the calipers? Looks nice.

Great idea to silence those pesky center covers! And your calipers look good!
I noticed in the pics that your center covers are showing a bit of wear like mine were - silver paint worn off and yellowy plastic showing through!
So I took one of mine into the local auto parts store and matched the colour up with their selection of cans of spray paint - the caps on the spray cans were supposed to indicate the colour of the paint inside so it was pretty easy to get a close match. Then I cleaned up the center covers with alcohol to get all the dirt and stuff off them and after taping over the Lexus "L" emblems in the centers to protect them, I sprayed a couple coats of new silver paint on the places where it had been scraped off, especially on the sides where the wheel lug wrench had rubbed against them over years of changing/rotating tires. They all look pretty dang good again for about $6 and an hour of work!

Ya know, i was really thinking about doing that to finish up the job, but i was scared the color wouldn't match. What brand of spray paint did you use? My local advance auto parts carries dupli color.

I can't recall the brand name of the paint I used. But if you pop one of your wheel covers off and take it into the store with you, it is pretty easy to get a good colour match just by comparing your cover to the spray paint can caps. That's what I did, and it worked out great.
