2011 Ct200h - ATF replacement
I replaced ATF of my 2011 ct200h. If anyone wants to do on their car, below is the video for reference. My car ran 40k miles so far and so I replaced the atf.

do you think it needed to be replaced at 40k? i was thinking to do this at 60k. i hate the stink of trans fluid. yuck!
how did the fluid look? are you going to send the fluid to get it tested?
in my other cars i went to home depot and bought some clear tube about 3ft worth and a funnel to add the oil from the top instead of pumping it in. gravity worked better for me and i had a helper pour the fluid in from the top towards the end of the 4th bottle.

Remember the drain and fill on this unit is more like a manual transmission. You fill it up until fluid comes out the fill hole. When I had a CT (and for my HS) I just stuck a long funnel with tube into the fill hole.

After watching your video I recalled that I did use a similar pump to add the fluid to my transmission. Getting to it from above was far more difficult. Still, a very easy do it yourself project.

Remember -- it's not really a transmission .. in a typical sense. They call it a CTV .. but it's not really that either.
That said -- I did both of my Prius at 100k. The fluid had discolored -- but was not dark or dirty. Many of these are never change and have almost no failures.
Use the correct WS fluid. I had mine done at a normal service -- very little labor involved.

For something as proprietary and sensitive as the Toyota hybrid drive transaxle, I would always go OE factory fluid. it's so cheap and so little of it is used, there's no reason not to. Also since the hybrid warranty is extended in at least some parts of the country, I would want to avoid the potential excuse of "you used the wrong fluid" in any potential hybrid warranty claim.

In Czech Republic (Europe) where I live Toyota/Lexus dealership wants aprox 30USD for 1 litre od ATF WS. That is crazy nonsense. Ravenol ATF T-WS (spec. directly for Toyota eCVT) costs only 11USD for 1 litre. And their oils are very high quality. I can buy "original" oils on eBay or Amazon, but I've already encountered counterfeits. My car Is 2011 so no more warranty. I have no problem buying expensive parts, but why when I don't have to. As well as spark plugs. Original (manufactured by Denso) in Toyota/Lexus dealership 23USD for 1 spark plug. Original Denso aprox 9USD for the same spark plug only without Toyota logo.
I work in car service for Mazda vehicles. Original Mazda oil (that sucks) is fabricated by Total for Europe and it is very expensive for what it is. But if I buy directly a Total oil it is much cheaper and overall better than Original Oil. But we still use other lubricant manufacturers who are even better even though they are more expensive
