Noise coming from rear windows?
Any input from fellow ct owners would be much appreciated. Ok so I had my windows tinted etc. Now while I am driving I hear noise going speeds above 60mph, it is wind coming into the cabin of the car. Its on both sides of the rear windows, now my car sounds like a cheap car . I also notice that the rubber striping on the outside of the window is not flush to the glass. So to my understanding that makes sense why I hear air coming inside from that window but the other rear window the rubber striping is flush to the glass.
Sometimes I just like to drive without any music now this is impossible when wind coming into the cabin. So basically I have to have the music up real loud, but I can still hear it.
I took my car back to the guy whom tinted my windows and told him my car was fine before I came to your shop etc. Now my car sounds like a cheap car and Lexus are known to be very quite vehicles. He is trying to tell me it is not from him etc.
Should I just take it into the dealership and see if Lexus would fix?
Or should I speak to the tint shop once more about my problems?

i also tend to think you might be referring to the hybrid battery cooling fan. it can get pretty loud in certain conditions (including high MPH driving), depending on how hot the battery is at the time.
as the previous poster mentioned, it doesn't always make noise, so the best thing to rule it out is to have a passenger sit back there when you hear the wind noise and see if it's coming from that vent.
i had my windows tinted by a mobile tinter in my own garage and he pulled the door panels off and i didn't have any noise issues after. i don't think it's rocket science (literally just a few screws and clips).
