A lot of folks (based on customer feedback) dislike drilling for a few reasons. Car shows and track days being the most common I hear, but a few brave souls just keep the plate mount in the trunk, in case of a cop / ticket they say they just got it, and promise to install.

For me, the plate being in the center of the grill just sort of ruins the look.

This eBay seller has a tow hook license plate holder for $38 shipped (+ tax in CA).

Holes in the bumper are ugly, front plate is kind of an eyesore, tickets are a waste of money. Guess that's the best bet. At least the tow hook plate holder isn't permanent. Lol.
