how tuff is it to remove the tint from an IS back window? can it be safely done?

how tuff is it to remove the tint from an IS back window? can it be safely done?

thanks for any help.

looking at used and I hate window tinting!!!

depends on the tint and the length of time it was on for. i peeled off the tint from 2 side windows and the rear window w/ no problems. just lift a corner and pull back. the tint had been on for about 3 months.

spray tint with ammonia or ammonia based window cleaner, cover with plastic wrap, leave it int he sun for a few hours, and then itl peel away.

use goo-gone to get rid of any residue.

1 step better cover with a black garbage bag or you can have it steamed off but be careful not to rip off the defroster lines
