Just had my window tinted a few weeks back and noticed that when I roll it down it then back up it makes some marks on the tint.
The tint guy said it is the felt that is in the door seal.
He said he normally just cuts it out.
Has anyone had this felt removed?

 

the tint installer might have bent/deformed the felt strip slightly, causing it to make marks on the tint.

I think the felt is there to allow the window to glide up and down without rattling. If you removed the felt it would probably lead to window rattles.

With the window fully down, see if you can feel the felt along its length to determine whether there are any 'lumpy' or crooked sections.
