Default Tinting the front windshield...

Hey guys.. so im used to usually having 5% tint on all windows except none on the windshield..

but my IS350 came with 35% all around.. except the windshield.. im thinking of putting 35% on the front.. to make the overall tint appear much darker since all that light wont be let in through the front.

Do you guys think that it would be dangerous to put a 35% on the front? Should I just do 50% on the windshield??

I am 19 with 20/10 eye sight so I might be ok.. vs an older person with bad eye sight yano??

I have 6000k low beams with oem yellow fogs.. so i have pretty good light output

Extremely dangerous, and extremely illegal (well, in most if not all states)...

don't do 35% tint for windshield!!! I had that for 2 weeks and I had enough.. it's hard to see at night esp in the rain..was very dangerous to me so I decided to lighten it. 35% is very dark at night, during the day it's fine though

its definitely very dangerous. If you're going to tint it at all go with the light as possible.

IMO it's not worth the trouble. Most states, tinting the front windshield is illegal and cops will slap you with a nice fine.

Also, no point putting yourself in danger of driving, not to mention that if accident do occur, people can very well blame on the front windshield being tinted.

Blah blah blah too much trouble...

I've had my windshield tinted, as well as all my friends, on every car I've owned since I was 16 and NEVER had one problem. Not with cops, not with visibility, nothing. I say do it! Not only does it look bad ***, when your driving towards the sun it makes a HUGE difference. 35% will look nice, but I always do 30%.

When I was 17 I had a new Chrysler 300C with 5% all around and the front windshield was 35%... At night it was hard to drive, and when it rained, forget it... But it looked so tight... Since you have 35% "all-around", I would literally make it all around and go ahead and get the front done. It's not going to be that bad because of the other windows being 35%... If you can get a doctors note, you'll have nothin to worry about with cops...

The other windows being tinted less won't make it easier to drive with 35% on the front.

In Illinois it is illegal to tint more than 6 inches fronm the roof line on the front windshield. I would never place anything lower than that for safety reasons.

Hey, I have 20 percent on all my windows and my windshield 50, it looks great and is barely noticeable to the driver. From the outside it gives off a stealthy dark look.

Be careful with that kind of advice. I'm very familiar with Coral Springs where there are TONS of kids, and if you ever hit one due to poor visibility from your "bad ***" windshield tint, god help you. Not worth the risk.

I hope you don't live in my neighborhood.

I'm curious how old you are. You make it sound like you have tons of history with tinted windshields with never having one problem, but you also seem like you are still a teenager, and are on your 2nd '08 IS according to your sig. Why did your IS250 only last 5 months?
