Yeah i know about the clunking so i bought some silencers with it. It really was a toss up between both springs but I got a dood deal for the F-sports. My IS is also a DD and I use my other car as the track car so im not so worried. I was more worried about the streets here in DC and making sure I dont have problems with scraping. Im also trying to go the all F-Sport Route.

I dont understand how your saying that the F-sports are a bad choice than the teins. I know the Teins are a lower drop but do you know which springs are better regarding spring rate and performance? I believe the F-Sports are the better choice regarding performance.

the teins are better all around

Fsport is REbadged Eibach pro kit ...
those blow
and give u a ugly stance and probably dont ride as nice as the teins too..

but if u got a good deal then u got a good deal

^^^ I don't know the background of the FSport springs, but I can tell you that the real Eibach Pro-Kit (which I used to have on my 350) has a lower drop than the FSport. So it can't be a straight rebadge.

Ugly stance doesnt mean anything regarding performance. Yes, usually a lower center of gravity means better cornering ability, but just because one set of springs gives a lower stance doesnt mean it has better handling ability than the other.

Dont get me wrong the tein s-techs have always given a nice drop to almost every application Tein makes them for, but as far as being a stiffer performance spring, thats where it lacks ability. They are usually made to be very soft. Eibachs have been around for quit some time and have been proven to be efficient as far as performance.

BTW, I dont know if anyone knew this, but in Japan, Tein isnt very popular at all. They are not one of the top companies at all regarding handling and are known as the APC of Japan. Its only in the U.S. that they are big. Example of this is the company Swift that specializes in handling parts. They are a huge company in Japan and make very good performance parts, but in the States they are nothing and not very well known.....just my 2cents...C-One is another very good company that people in the states are not very familiar with that specializes in Toyota vehicles dating back to the Trueno and MR2s ....

so does anyone know the spring rates for the F-Sports?

Nevermind I answered my own question and found the info. Heres the spring rates for both the Tein S-techs and F-Sport springs:

Tein S-techs
Front = 6.5kg/mm
Rear = 6.8kg/mm

F-Sport Springs (Not taken from Eibach Pro-kit spring rates)
Front = 6.6kg/mm
Rear = 7.0kg/mm

As you see they are nearly identical rates but with the slight edge going to the F-Sports.
