i need a mint condition front caliper for my 99 gs 400 . mine is very sticky and i dont know if it can be rebuilt. does any one have a caliper laying around because they upgraded to bigger brakes and or does anyone know if the stock calipers can be redone

Lexus sells the caliper rebuild kit for around 20.00. Well, I get 10 above cost, so it may cost a little more for you. Either way, they can be rebuilt fairly quickly and since yours does not sound as if it is frozen, it should go well.
Couple of tips.
Have extra brake fluid around for bleeding.
Remove the pistons from the caliper using compressed air.

thanks for the info pearl , i have done everything to my car myself , install of susp work , tte lip , everything in my gararge , but have never redone a caliper , any detailed info you could convey would be much appreciated
