Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS), announced that it will conduct a voluntary safety recall involving approximately 45,500 Highlander Hybrid and 36,700 Lexus RX 400h vehicles sold in the U.S. No other Toyota or Lexus vehicles are involved.

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., received a combined four segment awards in the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQS). Lexus earned the honor as the highest ranking nameplate in the industry, while the Toyota Division moved up 14 positions to place seventh.

Lexus today announced the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $73,000 for the 2011 LS 460 Touring Edition (rear wheel drive model) which will arrive at dealerships in late June/early July. The MSRP does not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $875.

I’ve done formal reviews of all of the fixed-roof Lexus IS models, including the IS-F (in fact, I owned a previous-generation IS300 almost five years), but I never got around to sampling the IS convertible, which, of course, is actually a retractable hard-top, not traditional fabric.
