The size difference is concerning. I've seen these in SC300s, hopefully it fits with no cutting of the floor.

Practice weld on the cracked oil pan. I was able to clean the oily aluminum well enough to weld with with no porosity. The turbo drain bung will be welded in this time

2 studs under the intake gears need to be cut down. "Cold cutting' with a hack saw maintains the metals heat treatment and strength

Assembly complete. The first one took ~1hr due to the learning curve, the second took just minutes.

The gears are a 0.001-0.002" press fit on a ~1.7" diameter. A press is mandatory, nothing else I tried would make it budge

scissor gears notched to fit the Kelford Cams 207-T1. Small notches are just barely visible at the top, it took a brand new sharp carbide burr to cut the hard steel.

Kelford Cams unboxed. The exhaust cam gears dont clear the larger lobes of the high lift Kelford Cams. Their experts recommend grinding a relief into the gears to clear the lobes. That's something new for me, but it makes sense.

Heads test fit, with test springs under the Cyl1 buckets. There is playdough in Cyl1 to check piston-valve clearance

Removed cam gears from the old cams. The playdough is sitting inside Cyl 1, ready to measure the valve-piston clearance

Kelford Cams unboxed. The cam scissor gears dont fit over the larger lobes. The experts at Kelford tell me to grind a notch into the gear for installation clearance. That's a new one for me! It makes sense though.

The crankshaft shop did an amazing job. With out asking, they balanced each piston and rod to within 1g of each other. This engine will be blueprinted to the best of my abilities.

Piston pin locks are a huge PITA to install. It took 2h to get the first one in, then 30 mins for the rest after I had the process down
