Hey great new format. Loves the colors. Hope my NAV system can have this color.

OK. I need new tires with my stock 16" wheels because I haven't saved enough for new rims. I'm going to use Bridgestone Potenza RE730s. Stock size is 215/60/16, i'm going 225/55/16, and I need to know if I can go any wider than that. Thanks!

that's the size I have
Globe,

That is the exact size I have on the stocker 16's... They really fit well kinda flush with the whole rim... look sorta like real lowpros... I have the pilot sports which took a grand out of my pocket! get the 225/55/16's... I'm not sure if you can go wider.. I think you can...

thanks
thanks manny.

Yeah I was flippin through the owner's manual and found out that the 16"s on the GS400 gets 225/55/16 tires, whereas the GS300 gets 215/60/16.

Thanks again. I'll go with those 225s.

I was wondering why my gs3 got the 225/55/16's... seems like it is only a guam thing... it came stock like this.. with a spoiler, sunroof, nak, and leather... all for 42-43k out the door... including tint, scotchgard, leather treatment, and sealant... every other car i saw in the the US mainland (gs3) got 215's ... well.. actually. now it has been extended to guam... the newer ones have 215's... ah well.. the 225's look much nicer... but I was wondering if you could go lower and wider... but then that would widen the fender gap and make your car look raised... kinda funky...

Can you actually tell the difference between 215 and 225? I hope it'll look good like you said. Also I'm getting the Potenza RE730s because it has really nice looking tread. And also it's like the next best thing in Potenza family besides S-02.

re730-the one
ray,

gs4will(aka lexusbill) here, long time no chat.

re730s, imho, is one of the best looking and value tires available today. excellent traction(AA), reasonable price, smooth ride. they have all the good stuffs from the s-o2 pole, without the high price.
enjoy them and let us know how many miles you get out of them.

hey gs4will. U go by Will or Bill?
WOw you live in Diamond Bar. Cooooool.

Yeah they're suppose to be new tires with great stuff and lower price. I should be gettin them in a few days and I'll share my experiences here for u guys to use as reference in case you guys wanna get those.

The only problem with them is that the largest size is 265/35/18. I was plannin on choosing those RE730s if i get 18"s, with 275/35/18 in the rear. Unfortunately they don't go that wide.
