I only like to comment on wheels I have actually used, and of that list, Giovannas are very nice wheels.

While all the wheels aren't terrible in terms of quality, you have to consider other things...Giovanna wheels are VERY overpriced for what they are...personally, I wouldn't put a set of Giovannas on my car even if someone gave me a set for FREE (no joke).

I'd look more at brands like HRE, Rays/Volk, Work, SSR, etc...

if I had to choose between 17s SSRs and 20s Giovannas I'll take the SSRs. I think that even my stock 16s look better than all Giovannas

but hey that's just me.

I think Kinesis makes some of the most god awful wheels that I have ever laid eyes on... But people like them, so I sell them.

Your absolutely correct, there are many wheel brands that I like, that others don't. It's all a matter of taste. The thing is many of the rim companies just "steal" the real deal from the good companies. Giovanni does have a few original designs.
In terms of build quality Giovanni isn't that great. Hit a pothole in NYC or on the LIE(Long Island Expressway) with a set of Giovannis and you'll be getting a new set very quickly. This forum is here to help people from getting ripped off, or losing money because of bad judgment. We at CL don't want to see that happen to our members so we try to steer them in the right direction.

Guess that depends also on what your taste/standard is, you may be able to take butterheads after a few drinks, or if you only care about seeing the top of her head only!! But, I am sure others all have their own standards. Well, Beauty is only a light switch away, so take what you like!

Please explain this part to me another way... I would hate to respond to this as I think it reads. Thanks.

yeah sorry posted it a little wrong. All I meant was that we want to keep people from getting a rim that is going to have problems in 6 months.
Sorry for any offense, I'm not here to instigate anything.

The Giovanna GF-1 is NOT a real Giovanna wheel...it's an ACARI RACING wheel made by APP....Giovanna just sells them with their center caps...I would take those wheels but I'd BURN the Giovanna center caps and get the ACARI ones...

But generally, unless I could SELL the Giovannas, I would rather keep my stock wheels.

I would also turn down an offer for a free Fake Rolex too...

What do you think the #1 cause of bent rims is? USER ERROR! Underinflated tires being the prime culprit. I often drive around town on 9 lbs Bogart racing wheels (16x10) with slicks. These rims, with these incredibly soft bias ply tires, will bend on just about everything.... How do I keep them straight-- Air pressure and common sense. Coming up to a bridge? Slow down, odds are the seams aren't straight.

Some things are unavoidable, but to imply all Giovanna owners (or even a majority) will have problems is very irresponsible of you and is a dis-service to the CL community.
