Default Help with tire size for 19x11?

Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm in the process of rebuilding my SSR GT3 wheels for my 2gs. The rears will be 19x11+24. I want to run a 255/35/19 since I only have a shaved fender. I'm looking for a cheaper tire and it looks like Nankang is my only option. Am I missing any other brands that make a cheap 255? I really wish Achilles made a 255. I know some people are going to say run a 245:
1. Roads are terrible and I don't need blowouts in case my newborn is ever in my car.
2. Moved back to southern Louisiana where I'm sure the few tire shops around won't want to do it for me. I probably will have to beg just to get them to mount the 255's.

One more question. Just how bad are Nankangs? For reference, I've had federals, nexens, and achilles before. Are they just the same?

I'm using Achilles 245/35/19s on 19x11s and they look FAT lol. I had nankangs before and the stretch looked more aggressive

How long did the nankangs last you? What made you switch?

Nankangs lasted a few years. No reason for switch other than achillies were $40. Cheaper

I would recommend using the 245/35 Achilles. Whether you go with 255 or 245 one is not more likely than the other to get sidewall bubble/blowouts. I know quite a few people who are using the Achilles and are pretty happy with them.

I was just trying to use a 255 because I remember you saying that personally you preferred a 255 over a 245 (My old thread when I had 20's). I really am thinking about the 245, but I know no one in my area will want to mount the tires.

I'm currently on 11's with a 255/30 but thats because im on 20's. If I were in 19x11 I would definitely pick the 245/35 because the 35 series is a little easier stretch. I wouldn't attempt it on a 40 series

i'm on 245 on 10.5. I would do 255/35 on achillies of course.

That would be perfect but achilles doesn't make it. I had achilles 245/35/20 on my previous set of 10.5's.
