Please help, I think I fired my compressor!
I meant fried
Ok, so my the braided steel line that goes to the compressor started leaking like crazy, up to the point that to keep air in the tank, Id have to keep the compressor on 85% of the time. This happened a few days ago, and I have only been going to work and back, and I live only 10 minutes away, so no problem here. I found a braided steel line in my garage which would leak just a little bit. So I asked a frined for advice, and I think I may have misunderstood him
My braided steel line comes with a check valve on one end, and I had that side on the compressor, and the other end in the tank. I called my friend, and I misunderstood him, so I placed the end with the check valve on the tank.
I tunred the compressor on and went inside to get some soap and water. Maybe 3 minutes. As I walk outside, I take a look at my psi meter, and the tank is still at ZERO!! I go and spray some soap on the line but I get no bubbles
So I look online for pictures of a compressor, and I only find compressor with the check valve side attached to it. My question is, did I damage my compressor? Will placing the braided steel line the wrong way damage something? My theory is that the compressor was pumping air, but since the check valve wouldn't let air flow in, it kicked it back to the compressor, which damaged it. Please help!

It wont air up the tank at all. I tried checking for leaks, but nothing. It sounds like it normally does, but it doesnt air up my tank. Luckily for me, I have another 480 which had a hose attached, and it's working. I'm tires of replacing that braided line, it alwys goes out on me!
I have alot of issues with my system, but don't let that scare you. I am a very careless person and didn't do maintanance on the air suspension, such as empty the tank from water and so on. You should have a very good ride with Tein CS
As long as you get the installation done right the first time, and you empty the tank once in a while, you should be good.
