that won't go well with my kids...and if I make my 8 year old,5 year old and 6 month old walk, it won't go too well with my wife

The 8 YO and 5 YO can walk. The 6 MO is only going to eat what you give it, as will the others. You no give, they no eat.

I do not allow people to eat in my cars, either. I will occasionally grab a fry out of a bag if I do have them, which is rare, but it's a short trip home. I'd rather exhibit some self control. In the event of needing to eat in the car due to it being a road trip, napkins are used liberally and no fries escape.

Receipts for things purchased, however, litter the DD. Lowes, grocery store, fruit market, tolls, whatever, they get collected weekly and dropped into the trash. Much better than tossing them out on the road!
