Default air bag compressors 480c compare to 400c

any air bag owners out there want to jump in here i was talking to accuair and they use 400c compressors while UAS uses 480c compressors i asked him what was the diffrence he said this in the email

"The 400C actually pumps much faster than the 480C, but the 480 is rated for 200 psi, whereas the 400C is rated for 150 psi. We run the 400C because it makes for match faster recovery times and we find that most applications don't need the 200psi in the bags anyways. You can compare the compressor specs at www.viaircorp.com

Good Luck,"

so why is uas running 480c compressor and they cost more . if i was to use the 400c with uas aero sport bags will that be enough..

you get more play time with 200 psi and if you may need more air to lift the car at 150 psi depending on weight.

Its all about volume and pressure. All the specs are on the viair website to compare the models and make it real easy by showing pump times versus pressures .

480 is a good pump but the 490 is the best.

I've heard of the 480s blowing out a lot. I've been running 380s and haven't had an issue yet.

480's don't blow they are workhorses.
Pumps in general don't blow , idiots who put them in poorly burn them out by not having proper wiring , traps , valves and mounts for them.
