Hi everyone my first official post!

I purchased a 2019 Lexus UX200 today and have enjoyed it quite a lot so far.

Only thing I'm struggling with is, I can't seem to configure Apple Carplay.

My infotainment system literally doesn't have "projection settings" under the General menu.

Any idea why? Also as a side note, I am pretty sure the multimedia system has never been updated, so might have to do with that?

I tried accessing http://securedp.lexus.com/download-app/downloads to download the latest version but the site seems to be down.

keep this in mind, its not wireless car play. you need to plug in a lightning cable to the usb in the middle armrest compartment. only than it will show up in the menu.

Noted. I have tried with the lightning cable, it just pops up with "Searching iPod. Please wait" then nothing.

 

You're in South Africa? According to your location. Maybe Lexus didn't offer Carplay for the 2019 UX for that market? They do build them different for different parts of the world.

 

Correct, I am in South Africa. The owner manual also doesn't mention Apple Carplay. That is fairly disappointing, thank you for clearing that up!
