Default 🔦 Various Courtesy Lights 💡

My UX 250h F Sport's courtesy lighting.

A quick look at the stock door handle lighting, door sill logo light, and the after-market puddle projection lighting.

I'm getting the illuminated door sills installed on my car. Not sure I see the point of the puddle light?

Illuminated door sill lights are for your Mother-in-Law to see you got a nice car...
Illuminated puddle lamps are so you don't step into...a puddle.

Kidding aside, I just got four (4) Lexus Logo puddle lamp fixtures off Amazon for $20.
Can not believe they can construct such nice pieces for $5 apiece. Look great, fit great,
brightens up the step zone beautifully. Amazon listing are OK but to be sure I went out
and removed one Lexus light and then compared with the on line photos. Glad I did
because there are fitment differences even at the same price from the same manufacturer.

A puddle light sounds like a good idea, I guess I don't care for the Lexus logo part - especially with the illuminated door sills - just too much "Lexus" in my face. I would probably like it better w/o the illuminated sills.
I will check to see if this is available with just a light shinning down.

The stock puddle lamp mounted on the lower edge of the door works
fine at lighting the ground. Discovered that they are not on the interior
light circuit, even if you set the overhead switch to defeat the interior lights
the puddle lamps still illuminate. Real attraction to me was the distinct
appearance of the sharp display of the Lexus "Arrowhead" logo and correct
font name. As with the standard light it only really shows up when it is really
dark.

I bought my car in June so none of this was really noticeable until the last month or so when it was dark before 7pm. I didn't even realize the lights on the door were puddle lights until recently - LOL.
