is there anyway of changing the color of the ugly greenish lights on the radio to white maybe, and is there a way of having the lights come on when i open my door because its pretty dark with just the door lights on?

do a search in the "lighting" threads. There should be some info in there to help you out with what you're asking.

 

You should have the dome light switched to "door". And everytime you open the door, the lights will go on. Now if the lights don't work, it could be a fuse or the bulb. I don't like to put my dome light to "door" because when the doors are locked and when you pull the driver side handle, the light goes on. I don't want anyone peeping inside.
