I'm considering trading my 2016 Audi Q3 Prestige for a 2020 Lexus UX 250h, but am very curious about what servicing a Lexus.
I had 2 Honda cars before my Audi, and mainly only do oil change. I don't recall the owners manual mentioning the maintenance schedule, but maybe I didn't bother to check. The dealer rarely mention it's time for this and that when I go in fir oil change. The Audi have a maintenance schedule every 10000 miles. So I'm very curious to know what's expected on a Lexus.
The UX is similar to the CT200h, almost like a 'set it and forget it' type of thing. Doesn't mean for you to neglect your vehicle (obviously), but these cars are pretty well made - mainly just oil changes and tire rotations at 10k intervals (some people choose to do rotations at 5k).
I don't neglect my vehicle, but I think most people would agree that dealerships often throw in a lot things than the vehicle actual need just to make more money. I don't know about cars (esp European cars), so I really don't what's required and what's not.
I read that Toyota dealers can service Lexus vehicles. Can they service everything or only the basic things like oil change, etc? Did anyone get their Lexus services at a Toyota dealer? What is the price between Lexus and Toyota dealers?
Does anyone have the maintenance schedule for the 2020 UX250h? I'd like to see what is recommended at different intervals.
The battery in a full electric car needs to be replaced. What about the battery in a hybrid car? Does it cost more to service a hybrid vs a full gasoline car?

I don't know where you're getting your information, but batteries should last the typical lifetime of a BEV or hybrid car. My friend's coworker has a Tesla Model S with nearly 200K, and the battery is fine. He really hasn't paid for much more than tires. I know people with 200K - 400K on Priuses without any issues. Another member of the forum has 500K on a CT.
As already said, not much for service. Oil at 10K intervals. Brake fluid and air filter every 30K. I think engine and inverter coolant changes at 100K.
One note: brake pads last a lot longer, due to the (re)generative brakes.
How is the pickup in a hybrid these days? I drove a rental Prius for 1-2 weeks about 10 years ago, and remember the pickup was very slow when the car was at the traffic light. I've never driven a hybrid after that.
Opinions vary. It's acceptable, but don't try racing a Porsche. The hybrid battery assist is good for short bursts, like traffic lights and pulling out to pass. Not as good for sustained acceleration, like on ramps.
Some people are trying to convince me to pick either a crv touring or rav4 xle premium over the ux250h. Price wise, the ux250h is approx 2000 more than the crv or rav4.
Between these 3 choices, what would you say is the pro and con fir each?
The CR-V is out of the question for me due to the fuel dilution issues. The RAV4 Hybrid is a good alternative if you're looking to save money but I wouldn't choose a regular gasoline RAV4 over the UX 250H. You can also consider a Mazda CX-5 ior CX-30 f you want to save some change on the purchase, but the UX is a nice choice.
As for maintenance, I would never waste my time with the dealer. Get your air filters, oil, brake fluid, transmission filter etc. changed at a trusted mechanic when it's actually time to do so and save your money.

It's a good idea to check out new technology every ten years or so. What was your cell phone like then?
Do NOT trade it.Sell it to carmax.I just returned my S5 coupe 2018 and got 2 UX250H.
The best car ever. Just try to get the F-SPORT, i could not...It was 3-4 months wait...
For lease you must not pay more than $400 including tax and about $1000 down( is you are around 680 or more, or if more than 720 you are 1ST tear and must be even less....)
But the insurance is super cheap.
Get an appraisal from CarMax to compare with any selling dealer but (in Illinois) you get a sales
tax offset for the first $10K. Sales tax is 7% except Chicago so you save $700. Unless the trade
in value is greater than that you can trade when buying and come out ahead.

When I bought my UXh in June I test drove that and a non hybrid NX the same day. I always thought I would buy a NX, but the UXh was so much peppier - I was really surprised and impressed. I had never seriously given much thought to buying a hybrid, but I'm so glad I did. I've never had any issues quickly merging onto the expressway in heavy traffic conditions and the car zips right up a steep hill by my house. Happy, happy, happy with this car.
