Locked my car overnight. Unlocked this morning at 11.20. DID NOT TURN THE CAR ON. Got into car at 12.40pm (unlocked for 2 hours 20 minutes) car would not start with different symbols on dash than normal. It seemed “half on”! Then nothing. This is the second time this has happened when I have left the car unlocked for a period of time having been previously locked. Has this happened to anyone else I’m wondering? This is a major problem! No option but to call Lexus Assistance.

 

How old is the car? Those can be symptoms of a bad battery.

Definitely not age, but could still be a 12V battery issue. Let us know what Lexus finds.

I drive daily…the day before I drove approximately 80km…..

 

Lexus checked out my car…..they say there was a bad cell in the battery so changed the 12V battery…. I still think they treated the symptom but not the cause….time will tell…..

 

I've known a few people with brand new cars that got a bad battery/bad cell. Hope this fixes it for you.

 

yes 12 volt battery is under size 285 CCA, a garden tractor has bigger you have to buy a battery not at Lexus you can get 480CCA ONE
