Default Replacement 12v battery suggestion

I put my Ux250h in the non Ready start position to run a portable tire inflator to inflate my ATV. After 15 minutes of the car started glitching.

The 12v battery was obviously low

I've had the car for 4 years and thisnis about the time when 12v batteries start to lose out from my experience

Any replacement battery suggestions? I'm looking at some Motomaster brand batteries here in Canada.

One thing I noticed is that the instructions say the battery must be vented, but ut sits in the trunk. Is it okay to use this battery???

My Lexus CT had the 12V battery in the trunk. Any replacement battery of the same size (H4, I think) will have vents on it. It will come with a plug to put on one side, and the existing vent tube will connect to the vent on the other side. It should be pretty obvious how the vent is connected when you open up the battery compartment.

Looking at the drawing in the manual, it looks like the vent tube is connected by the (-) terminal. So there should be a plug in the other side.

Ok I will keep this in mind. Glad I checked here. I didn't think there would be a word about this in the manual. I guess every group H4 battery has the vent in the same spot.

Thanks for the info

I went to a local auto parts store (Advanced Auto Parts) and purchased an AGM battery from them, I think it was about $200ish after tax and core refund. Original battery lasted just about 5 years.

You absolutely do not need an OEM battery (Panasonic I believe) - just make sure it's AGM.

It's a super easy job, takes less than 10-15 minutes.

Just check both sides of the battery first. There may also be a vent hole on the other side of the battery too. Be sure to put the supplied plug in the side that isn't used, like this (not a UX)
