Remote Climate Question.. 2025 300h
Instead of getting harassed by a sales person in the showroom floor... thought I'd ask those who own the car.
So I own a 2023 Mini Cooper SE and have enjoyed the EV life of charging and driving around town zipping around - and one of the best features in the cold cold Utah winter was the remote climate. I'd go out to the carport in the morning and the car was all nice and defrosted and toasty ready to go! Never had to scrape the windshield and the heated seats were nice and toasty.
Sadly BMW just issued a battery recall
and there's been a car in the US/Germany that recently caught fire due to a battery short.. the chance is low but even with the recall software update it doesn't make me sleep well at night knowing my EV could burn the house down. I think the recall is just a band aid trying to alert the driver before the car catches fire.
SO ANYWAY - my question is.. I love the Nori Green UX 300h and the AWD would be safer instead of the high torque FWD EV mini in snow.... would love to own one but remote climate. Can you folks set a time schedule or program the car or do you get in the app and just do remote start and the car automatically does it? I tried looking it up in the online manual and I didn't see it. Like in my situation I'd have to open the Lexus app and start climate every morning? Is that how I could do it?
Thanks

Schedule no. You can however set the climate to a desired temperature including all items separately (wheel/seats/defrost/etc) when you remote start. Remember this is also a hybrid so it can run independently of the engine. Hope that helps
