Hi, I recently bought a 2024 RX350H with the Ultra Luxury trim level. Cold weather has finally hit and I am using the remote start feature in the app to warm the car up. The issue I am having is that the heated seats/heated steering wheel and defrost don't automatically come on. The salesman inadvertently advised that I would be able to control everything through the app but I guess it turns out I needed a higher trim level for this feature. What I am wondering is if there is a way to have the heated seats/steering wheel come on with the remote start and also to have the heat set to defrost. I am hoping there is a setting I have not found. I have tried setting it all before getting out of the car in the evening but it still doesn't come on in the morning. I have also set it to auto but same issue. I have included a screenshot of my app showing I don't have an option to make any adjustments other then to the temp. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

 

My Lexus app lets me set those options.

 

That's exactly what I want. Maybe you have a higher trim level and that is why you have the options.

 

Have you tried turning the seat/wheel heaters on before shutting the car down? Mine hold their last setting.

 

I have tried it but no luck. My dealership did just get back to me with an idea. They told me to turn on the "Climate Concierge" setting. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

my guess is Canadian don’t have the same app as the USA citizen
i looked i my app and only have climate control, nothing for the seat and steering
i have only 7 options (light, hazard, climate, sound alert, close, open and honk)

concerning climate concierge i am not sure if this will activate the seat,steering and defrost
i have it and didn’t see these been activate, but I have used it only in the Summer time, and as I parked inside all the time, and this year for the peak of the winter season I will be in the south

 

Using the climate concierge works for me on remote start, its a easy work around. Cheers

 

Leave the system, the seats and steering in Auto setting.

When you remote start it should tyrn on the seats, steering and adjust the cabin to the temperature that was set before you locked the car.
I am guessing Lexus Canada decided Canadians do not need to adjust the seat controls, but you can adjust the temperature that you want the cabin to be climatized to on the app under climate

 

Thanks all, I did turn the setting for the Climate Concierge on last night. Before I got out of the car I turned on the heated seat, heated steering wheel and set it to defrost. When I got in this morning the seat and steering wheel were turned on! That was great to see. The defrost wasn't on and the fan speed was low, but I am going to take it off auto tonight and put the fan and defrost on high to see if that works. At least I have the seat and wheel warming up.

 

I’m in Canada… after playing/restarting the app/phone for about 30 mins, the seats and defrost features are back again.

For some reason the app recently had the temperature setting only.

 

Mine only shows 1 single temperature adjustment when I turn on Custom Clime Settings. Nothing else

 

The app has been finicky.. before the app fixed itself, the temperature setting and for some reason it was set to 69 Fahrenheit.. I previously set it to 21 or 22 celsius. Then once I move the slider to correct the temperature, I slid it down to 21 but it showed Fahrenheit and not Celsius. In addition, when I tried to save the temperature, it gave me an error. I didn’t take a screenshot of the issue.

 

That’s odd, my 2024 Rx350h premium came with it….

 

Is your system, including seats and steering wheel in Auto when you turn the car off?

 

All 2023 RX should have the climate custom settings, for some odd reason that I haven't found yet some cars isn't showing and some cars it works within the same phone and same app. (Btw I work at a Lexus dealership)
