Default Tire Rotation

So I got a nail in one of the tires. I went to a firestone since I had to get an alignment done anyways. They told me it was unrepairable and needed to replace a 2nd tire to balance the car. They said the front 2 tires were bad compared to the back. I have a 2019 UX with 43k miles only. I bought the prepaid maintenance plan and have serviced the car every 6 months. I have the lifetime alignment plan and have had that completed once a year since the vehicle purchase. Should 2 of my tires be bad if I kept up with all service? I'm starting to feel like Lexus dealership never completed the tire rotation.

A trick I recommend is marking the inside of the front tires to see if the marks moved....if not then they are not performing the work

Seems like there are three likely ways you got here, not the only options just the most likely

1) Firestone trying to hose you

2) Dealer hosed you

3) Bad luck

I'm going to use Striker's trick in the future

Seriously bad luck...you can do every single thing possible to make sure your car runs perfectly and someone always needs to take advantage 🥲

I number my wheels so I can keep track of the rotations. Sometimes I have experienced one side will show wear if only rotated front to back. If just the fronts are showing wear, that may be a non-rotation problem.

To be fair, most touring tires last between 30k-50k miles depends on your driving style and car weight, service won't help your tire restore in better condition. I'd say there's a chance they are telling the truth.
If in doubt, you can check the tread depth yourself, if it's less than 3mm you might consider changing them. Less than 2 mm is critical. Moreover, some tyres are directional, means it cant be rotated side to side but only front to rear.
At the end, having one brand new tire and a 43k used tire on the same axle is a nightmare in rain.
