Default Free Tire Rotation for Life of Tire??

When I purchased my new Michelin tires outside of the dealer, it came with free tire rotation and balance for the life of the tire. Does anyone take advantage of that or do you find that they are still going to try to sell you a service or something? Also, what is the going rate for tire rotation and balance? Thanks!

Tire rotation can be as cheap as $10 plus tip.
Service bay will charge you around $30 or more for it.

Wheel alignement is about $100 but you don't do wheel alignment as often as you do tire rotation ( every 5,000 miles).
On my 2011 RX 350 ( 40,000 miles) and our toyota Prius (125,000 miles). NEITHER had any wheel alignment done. Except when getting a new set of tires, which i believe was part of the purchase anyway.

Depends on the tire dealer. Free doesn't always mean good. I have one I trust and wouldn't hesitate using them for rotation or alignment. They installed the tires on my 450h over two years ago. But I like going to the dealer. They are competitive on tire prices, not so much on rotation, balancing and alignment. Sometimes they do have coupons. I have my tires rotated every 6 months with the alignment checked every year post winter and performed if necessary. As far as cost, well, it's been very minimal. Love my SA!

I used to have free rotation on my old RX300 that I used all the time.

I can't remember the extra cost I paid when I bought the tires, but it was minimal.

Now I pay $20.00 to rotate tires on my 2012 RX350.

Lexus dealership wanted $30.00 for rotation and was 60 miles away.

We always get our after OEM tires from discount tires...we indeed take advantage of their free balance & rotation bout every 7k to 10k miles. Usually have a half to one ounce off here & there. Keeps the ride smooth.

Many shops, at least in this part of FL, offer Lifetime Free Tire Rotation with any four tire purchase. Am sure you are paying this in the price of the tire but it is still nice to have. I use Firestone Complete Auto Care and have a lifetime alignment with them as well. So, it eliminates any of the finger pointing when it comes to tires, rotations, wheel balancing and alignments.

i take advantage of the free lifetime balance/ rotation that comes with the tires on my cars that i've bought from Sears.
The only downside is the long wait and ancient magazines in their waiting area.

I got free tire rotation at America's Tire in Roseville, CA, even though I was a first-time customer.
There was a problem with over-torqued locking lug nuts, but it was resolved and still no charge.
I will buy the replacement tires, Michelin Latitude Tours, at America's Tire when the Bridgestone Dueler's wear out. They earned my business, in my opinion.

1) always
2) not really
3) $6 per tire for rotate, $85 for balancing all 4 tires.

It looks like Discount Tire is America's Tire here in Northern CA. We only have 6000 miles on our RX but when we need tires I'll have to check them out.

The only thing I know about America's Tire is that they moved in next to a Mexican Restaurant here in Napa and it is really difficult to eat there as the new tire odor permeates the restaurant. We haven't been there in years, too many good place to eat in Napa and MANY taquerias.

Have used them in both Ohio and Florida.
