Bought this used 2020 Lexus UX250h over a week ago. Remote start worked just fine. Got it back yesterday from being ceramic paint coated and the remote start does not work. Put new batteries in the remote no change. The lights do flash with each lock press but the hazards don’t stay on after the 3rd press. Do I have to have that subscription for the remote start to work for the key fob?
Well it seems that Lexus sent me an email that the pervious owner had removed their account and because I did not respond to the email they assumed I waived my “trial” subscription so therefore things were shut off. They now, at no cost will renew the subscription for a year and should I not renew after it expires the remote start will still work. I must have to drive the car around a bit as a voice message says the connection has failed and I need to go where there is a strong cell signal. (Wherever that is)!
Took to dealer to eliminate red SOS and voice prompt telling me to call a number that is no longer valid. It seams there was some updates that were needed. Had to sign up for a subscription at $80 a year so now all is working. The End.

Mine didn’t always work, but I think 8 seconds just seemed like a painstakingly long time to hold that 3rd click down and I wouldn’t depress it long enough before giving up and trying again, albeit more frustrated than the previous try.
